i have a question

was it true that back before... long long long ago, when a person died the members of his tribe would hang the body in a tree so that the smell would loft away. and the predators would have the body for food soon enough i would think insuring that the smell would be limited. thoughts?

 

Not sure on those death rites.

 

I don't think that very happened, almost all cultures, ancient and present respected death and the body.

 

How stupid it is to say things like "frick" instead of "fuck" I mean everybody knows what you are implying and what you mean....including you yourself....why not just say it?

it does make a bit of sense when you think of it the way i heard it.

i never let my kids say frick for exactly the reason your pointing out. i wouldnt allow them to disrespect the home by saying fuck, so ...

now the 20 yr old swears at will in front of me. what am i to do about it, he is 4 inches taller than me, can bench press a buss and knows it.

Sounds like a tribe or people that have see life as being circular and as giving to the nature that they survive on. The dead helping the living and returning to nature.

 

Might apply to some culture. I'm not familiar with that particular practice.

 

well odly it was a conversation i was listening to between two truck drivers on my CB radio. i was captivated by this conversation. they were discussing theology like a couple of university professors, one could quote scripture lake mad, and some of what he said ive read and he seemed to be pretty close the other was arguing that all religions have there place, and every one seems to base from a god, therefore the existence of god was verified in that way, however he seemed to be struggling with science as he was very knowledgeable in that realm as well.

it went on for about an hour, with another voice joining in at the half hour mark and each patiently taking there turn to share there thoughts. i was going to recored it with my phone, but the battery was dead.
