I had a surreal experience last night and I shit you not....

Was at a bar listening to a band when I looked to my right and saw this very attractive woman about half a dozen feet away. Her gaze met mine and just locked, like there was no looking any other way for either of us. After a lingering moment I reached out a hand to her and she took it after a slight hesitation. I drew her to me gently, lightly hooked a finger under her chin and then kissed her, long, slow and soft. Her response was mutual. It was incredible.

Afterward I said, "I just had to do that."

She replied, "I know, me too," and smiled.

Then she said, "I got to go," and vanished.

I've never done that before. Never even considered it. But wow. :shock:

It was a perfect moment. How many of those do experience in life? Pushing it would've ruined it.

What if she had a boyfriend or was hanging out with her mom? She was there and then she wasn't.

It's one of those sieze the moment things....

For example: If you were at an Eric Clapton concert and he randomly asked you to come up on stage and sit in on a song, afterwards would you linger and beg for guitar lessons?

 

That's what I've been thinking ever since.

 

slightly different, i doubt i would have felt any connection with Clapton, if i met i girl though and had a moment that deep i think i would have to persue, atleast a little bit, even if she had a boyfriend, id still have the moment, but i also wouldnt wonder

 

It's not different. I think it's a matter of perception. I'm not a greedy person by nature (and I mean no offense to you my friend - just staing a fact), so my first impulse isn't to go for more. I've come to appreciate these oddball moments in life and savor them for what they are. Sure, i could've gone after her, but the look in her eye when she said she had to go said 'don't follow.' It wasn't an unfriendly look, just one of finallity. You've got to learn to abide by life's small nuances. You'll be happier in the end.

 

no offense taken, I would want to know why, otherwise im sure i would drive myself crazy trying to figure out why, i could deal with the answer, but not with not knowing, at a concert i would know, he pulled me up to involve the crowd and put on a show, i know a stripper only dances because of my money, but to have a deeply moving moment with someone and then have her disappear not knowing why is what i couldnt take. however, if i looked in her eyes like you did and she said goodbye and i knew it meant goodbye and dont follow me i think it would be alright, i didnt gather that from your original post

 

I am slowly learning that why is not what should be asked at times. I am finding out that we should just let things flow and allow things to come into our lives.

I don't think there is a wrong answer here, it just depends on what stage of your life you are in, when your younger you really want too and should walk through as many doors as you dare.....even if you fall....its how you experience new things and learn......but later on you get to the point where you have satisfied your urge to seek and see where everything goes....and just enjoy the little things that come your way.

 

Alot happened in that moment, it's hard to convey. I'm still hashing it out myself.

Yes. That's one of the most important aspects of being. Shit happens, as they say. Not always a bad thing.

In my 20's I was all about the pursuit; see it, go after it, no matter what.

In my 30's I started evolving, looking at all sides, planning my moves ahead of time.

Now in my 40's I take it as it comes. No hurries, no worries.

I suspect in my 50's and beyond I'll get more selfish again. Time is running out!!
