Well, compared to other death penalty options - electrocution, hanging and firing squad (tho I think no state does firing squad anymore), lethal injection is likely the least painful (there's a painkiller that's mixed in with the poison that kills you) and therefore... no pain = more humane. At least by your friend's definition.

 

Some people don't deserve to live. Besides, what's so humane about being sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole? I'd rather be executed and get it over with.

 

Yeah, so whats so humane about it? I kind of rather take a bullet in my head.

Think about it, first you are pretty much in a torture of awaiting your death, then you enter a room and are strapped into a chair, in which others watch you go bye bye, I see nothing humane about that.

Looked it up... Utah, Nevada and Idaho stopped firing squad executions as of 2009. Only US state that uses it now is Oklahoma, and only as a secondary method (not exactly sure what that means).

I don't like the whole law system as it is, but I feel that if it is illegal for one to take an action of taking someones life, even if that person is a criminal, and is most likely to get a death penalty, but is all right for a entity to do such of thing. If something is illegal, it should be illegal to all.

you know i go back and forth on this. i dont really like the death penalty then i hear about the guy who lit his 4 year old daughter on fire on the side of the road just outside of pheonix, and she kept going out so he had to keep relighting her. and i think, we should kill him. we should light his ass on fire and let him burn really slow. so, yea. it comes and goes with me.
