    I've played most of the series - back from the SNES to some of the current day versions. The movie is just "average"... the plot is rather convoluted, where you pretty much have to know the backstory of FF7 if you're going to try to understand most of it, the plot twists aren't that exciting and somewhat expected. But it's very pretty, the CGI quality and animation are top-notch and special effects are pretty darn cool.
