I'm going to lay down (back is sore again) and watch a little tv.

 

Man, I was hungry. I've got a news channel on now.

 

Seeing all those people in front of the White House going gaga gives me mixed feelings. I'm glad Bin Laden is dead but I feel no real elation about it.

 

As Obama said, bin Laden was a mass murderer. Justice was done.

 

I'm not especially happy either, except for the guys who risked their lives voluntarily to get the guy.

 

Dead is what Bin Laden deserves to be, no doubt about it. Drawn and quartered even. Well, if he was killed by a missile that's the modern day equivalent, right? Good riddance to that bastard.

So much blood, sweat and tears went into getting his ass, you have to wonder if any one man is worth it. Unfortunately history proves that it is sometimes necessary.


So, how did the car search go?

 

My car-lead was a good one, and I got a pretty good car for cheap.

As for bin Laden (you'll hear this later), his compound was in a suburb of the Pakistan capitol, Islamabad. It was a building 6-8 times the size of normal buildings in the area, and security walls and other measures were so heavy it was ridiculous. He was shot in the head by U.S. special forces on the order of Obama. The forces arrived in 2 helicopters, one of which crashed, and was destroyed by the special forces. *No U.S. soldier was injured in the entire operation.* An adult son of bin Laden was also shot, as were a couple of female human shields and a couple of couriers.

 

U.S. intelligence learned where he might be last August. They were given a courier's name by one of the detainees the U.S. has. The U.S. found the courier, then waited and used drones and human intelligence to confirm that he was there.

 

That's cool about the car! Good news. What is it?

 

It's a 2000 tan Chevy Impala, high mileage. You can feel the miles just a little when you drive it.

 

I heard some of that about the raid on CNN. Thanks for the details. I turned the TV off, was giving me a headache.

Human shields. Those terrorist assholes have no value for life. :?

 

Keep it tuned up and in good repair should last you for quite awhile yet.


It's almost amusing to think of all Bin Laden in a cave jokes going around all these years when it turns out he's been living high on the hog (so to speak) in Pakistan's capitol. Wonder how long he's been using the place?

 

He was a psychopath, for damn sure. The followers are brainwashed kids. Just like Hitler did to the youth of Germany.

 

Everyone thought they'd get him in a cave! I'm sure payoffs to Pakistanis allowed him to be there for a year or so.

 

It's easy to get the disenfranchised to do your bidding. Just takes a little push in the right direction and a promise of false hope. Praying on ignorance. Very sad.

No doubt you're right about the payoffs. Probably hasn't lived in a cave since 2002.

 

I'm going to lay down for an hour and try to get centered. It's been a helluva day. I'll set my alarm and be back in a bit.
