Some could feel the urge to rush down the stairs and push the cat off the wall.

 

But the cat would spring aside at the last moment and that person would fly over the wall instead trying to compensate for the cat's quick reaction.

 

Also, you could never know what lies in wait for you behind the corners. It could be a trap!!

 

Cat (watching hapless individual disappear into the swirling mist): Foolish, predicable humans. Works every time!

 

I'm sure that's what they really think half of the time!!

 

Of course it's a trap. What else could it be?

 

Having had cats for pets for nearly half my life I have no doubt of it.

 

When my cats want food and I ignore them (because I just fed them one or two hours ago) they start to beat each other up. A pure stage fight. They just want to riot and get my attention.

Hmm, I still don't see it as depressing...it's far to intriguing for me to be that.

No I don't quite view it as those...if you see the picture there is a certain un-natural feeling to it....like you know the place depicted could never really exist....I viewed it as an inner mindscape who's owner is manifested as a cat.

 

Hmmm interesting.

That's actually exactly the thought behind the Romanticism paintings.
The landscapes aren't real places, the persons are the manifested yearnings of the painter.
