Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     The competitors are based on their regular season final standings. There are 16 teams that make the playoffs - 8 in the Eastern conference, 8 in the Western Conference. The Final, for the Stanley Cup, is the Winner of the West against the winner of the East.

    For some reason, the hockey bosses put Detroit in the Western Conference, even though they are farther to the east than the west in the U.S.

    Detroit is the most popular "road team" in the NHL. They sell more Red Wing merchandise away from Detroit than any other team!

    Montreal was not expected to beat Boston at all. Boston was one of the best teams in the East by far. So Montreal is doing fine - so far.

    EDIT: Wait, isn't it Montreal, 2 games to 1? I have to check again.

    You got me wrong, it's the combination of pink and white which is for 12 year olds. Having said that, I just realized I'm wearing a pink and white striped scarf today. :lol:
    And it makes me feel so young!! :lol:
