There are some artists I won't hesitate to d/l everything they've ever done. And there are others I just go for their hits. Every artist is different.

 

exactly, but its often easier to find an album then an individual song so ill usually go for the album, plus it keeps your music library more tidy

 

well thats a good question, i dont normally do an entire disc, unless its there for the taking keep in mind most groups have 3 mabey four CD's out so pulling them in one files it no big deal
when i went for JayZ i got it all, just to have it. This is more of a full out quest just becouse of the huge body of work. ive always wanted a complete collection of his. and right now in my life i have that opportunity to get it.

do i love his work that much, nope, some of it is really hard to get through, but just like any artist, you sit there listening to off key springs being bashed and wap, your hit with something that works for you, i guess the point is, zappa to me is like hunter s thompson, there is not a word that man wrote i did not read

pages of stuff that was boring or made no sense whats so ever, but then you read a phrase like, "pI called him at 2 in the morning, he needed to know what kind of man it took to work with someone like me, and i was about to let him know" there he sat, with blue all up his arm, only one things causes a stain like that and i know what it was, he dropped his coke in the airplain toilet and had to go after it, it take a true fiend to do that, and we were dealing with the worst kind" and it just speaks to me

 

I usually d/l the entire CD for the same reason.

 

i understand that, an artist may put out a weak album or two but ill still feel like listening to them just because ive listened to enough of them that even if its not their best ill still appreciate it on some level, however there are two bands/musicians i have yet to find something i dont like, Zeppelin and SRV. Sure some things may not stack up to some of their other work, but i could listen to any song they made and thoroughly enjoy it, and then theres the stuff they made that is truly a work of art, and i could listen to all day and never get tired of it

oh just curious - I don't know many Phunners that Phun on their cellphone. I do as well, but my phone's kinda limited in what it can do (Zylo).

 

ive got an android, but i cant get into posting from it, it seems so slow compared to my pc

Oh really? I figured an Android phone would be able to handle all-around Phunning.

I usually have Phun running in the background on my phone, just to check on posts and such.

 

The Rumor has a slideout keyboard which makes posting pretty easy. And depending where I happen to be standing in Vegas, surfing the net can be pretty damn quick. My carrier is virginmobile, which is owned by Sprint. I suspect that I'm hooked into Sprint's 4G network alot of the time.

 

ive never had to use it though, if i turned off avatars and sigs im sure it would go fast enough, but it seems like the hardware just runs slower then id like

I'm kind of old school when it comes to phones and I'm partial to slider phones (without a proper keyboard). I'm also kinda of a stickler for proper grammar, which means chatting on Phun takes me FOREVER.

 

i dont care for the slide out, i like the touchscreen keyboards well enough, id like to get an EVO but i cant justify it until i have 4g here

 

I'd like a more powerful phone.
