howdy all
im here now, well home from work and working here i guess
but im here on phun too.

 

Cool. I'm back after a short hiatus hanging with my family for the past 5 days. Did I miss anything interesting?

not really sure, let me see if i can sum it up. i found out that jack does not appear to go out in a fine suit, sit at the corner cafe and sip tea. despite my strong ideas that he did. Yay has been here, and ive missed her every time, but i did get a chance to tell her she was neat. so that was neat. me and supirior12 discussed his new guitar and he posted photos of it, its going to be very nice indeed, i hope we get to hear it. and gaphugs is looking for some eskimo porn, not to be confused with inut porn, i think.

i am about 1/3 the way through my zappa quest, you were right, it wasnt until i hit Over-nite sensation did things start looking up, but ive listend to almost all of it. and its been pretty good if not entirely off key.

my wife has decided to stop communicating some little tidbits with me, like last night she told me she was headed to the next door neighbors cellar to flee from a possible oncoming tornado, but then neglected to text me back saying it was a false alarm leaving me to assume they were all dead.

As you're aware I more often than not post here on my phone. I had plenty of opportunities to go online while the family visited to come around and post, but I didn't feel like it. I've been meaning to drop out of here for a few days as sort of a break in routine and my sisters visiting was ample excuse to do just that. So now they've gone home and here I am, sort of home at last in my own way. But don't get me wrong, just cuz I didn't 'miss' anyone doesn't mean I'm not delighted to chat with them once again.

 

i completly understand what your saying, i think i should take a break the thing is a lot of people have taken breaks and damn few have returned, this place is getting small scribe. this place used to be popping, but now its no bigger than the forum i used to mod on.

anyway, back to the real issue

i think the coolest part of doing this is you can hear the maturation processes as the music goes on. he made so many albums you can literally hear it as they go on
now im getting more interested in how the next one sounds compared to this.

 

i trust your sisters are doing well, did you get to do anything out of the norm for you, i mean with the fact that you live in vagas, it must be hard not to take in a show or at least hit a bar with a band en shit.

so do you always download the entire body of work when you like someone, or is this out of the ordinary, and you Like Zappa enough to download everything hes done?

i know people who will download a discography if they like one song, then there are those who download only hits off itunes, Me i usually download the album if i like the song then go from there, but a few musicians i like enough to have downloaded theyre discography, and any live stuff i can get too
