funny you say that, i was thinking one day long ago while i was trying to bate someone, anyone into a conversation that would inspire me to write something, that most of what i was reading was bad face-book posts. but now that ive been on face book, and not twitter, i have to assume its bad tweets.

but again i must say, i mean no disrespect, they like it and good for them.

i wouldnt put GNR and Nirvana in the same genre, and I think of Nirvana as grunge, and GNR as Hard rock with metal dashed on top, light metal if you will

That term glam rock didn't pop up until the 80's and was at the time aimed at bands like Deff Leppard, Motley Crue and Ratt, etc.

i was just listen to SRV today, i was thinking that ive heard his stuff for years and years and i still like it. its not like anybody else really.

if you ask him, and many do, Alice Cooper says he created all of glam rock, it was all his idea and everybody owes hiim respect. I met him, he held the door for me at a model home i was looking at in paradise valley once, i did not get on my knees and worship him, but i did say, "Dood, hey great to see you, thanks for all your work" to which he replied, "im the door man, its what they pay me to do"

ok, ill let you have them at the end, a simmered down version, no makup but they all had long hair and they dressed poorly, but i must say there music was and still is a bit better than most of the hair bands of that time, i think anyway.

 

ive listened to SRV pretty much my who life, my dad is a big fan and i guess he passed that on to me

i think GNR is much better then most Glam rockers, the only ones i like more are the ones like Van Halen and Scorpions who really came before glam hit its stride

 

i like def leppard well enough, ratt has a couple good songs, never cared for the crue

im going to say there is damn little that stacks up to what nirvana did, i dont knjow why but i loved them then and still do. they seemed very un-produced, just really good garage band mentality, now i put pearl jam in the grunge theme, with the flannel lesbian shirts and the mumbling so nobody can understand you,

longest night of my life trying to sort the lyrics to BLACK. way to much beer, but dammit we had a goal and we triumphed.
