ok here are some of the things ive heard my next door folks say around my home town in Indiana

the only way were going to pay off the debt is print more money, why cant they just do that. (about 5 people have said that to me,)
obama is going to send all the poor people a check (ive been waiting, still no check, made me miss bush who sent me three)
all the companies are going to be taken over by the government like in those communist countries. (and they meant it, it wasn't just dump ramblings)
the democrats are destroying our country and the only one that can save us now is sarah whats her fuck in Alaska, (oh palin or something yea that dip shit is our saving grace. personally i would choose tina fay over her)
lets see
obama is not an American becouse he wasnt born here. (oddly they were clammering for that rule to be overturned when they all wanted Arnold swartzinigenlapuyzoludhrfpasejhronpaerr to run for pres)

and some of their policy changes
ditch social security and Medicare, (this from a guy that is 83 and filthy rich to a guy that is 66 and just retired and SS is his only source for food. that conversation went well)
stop the government completely becouse everything they do fails., (he really meant it, i quizzed him he wanted it all gone. he go angry with me when i said, "i wanted a military and they built the best, i wanted roads and i now have the greatest freeway system on earth, i wanted to go to outer space and we landed on the moon, maybe, it seems to me everything they do, they do better than anybody else, if we would just give them the funding to make it happen." oh that pissed him off something fierce. )
stop funding education, its a wast of time kids dont need school they need jobs in factories. (this was an actual statement made by my baby sitters brother, we all just sat there with our mouths open, i assumed we were all trying to look as stupid as he sounded)

ive heard many of those things, and like you say, somebody says something with absolutely no facts about how to back it up.

and anybody who really thinks palin should be president should not be allowed to vote, might as well just grab somebody off the street and put them in the whitehouse(although her staff and advisers would probably end up being the same as any other Repub who gets elected)
