Oh, I don't think they could tell the difference between all those types of apples here either. To be honest, I never tried to cheat like that. I'm just too scared of getting into trouble.

 

I haven't try it either. I talk on another board, and someone said their walmart shut down their machines, for that exact reason.

I would think would be hard to do if you just have one item, but if you have many, including the watermelon, it would probable go unnotice. Specially since many item names doesn't completely show on the receipt. Sometimes I have a hard time identifying if only my items were charged, and what each of those characters represent my item.

 

Now that you mention it, they start shutting down those machines here, too. Lots of supermarkets already have the cashiers do the weighing now.

 

They could forbid weight items, that would be a solution. But those people can't think...lol

The machines seems to know how much an item weights when you slide the bar code, as sometimes you have to re scan the item because the weight doesn't match.

Pretty outrageous, I agree. I think the government has gone totally fucking nuts.
