I've gotten around some. Been all the way around the Great Lakes. Been up to Alaska, down a ways in Mexico, all over the Rockies in my travels. North America is an awesome continent to be sure.

 

do you ever miss new orleans? i was there for about four days and have missed it ever sense.

Yes. If my parents didn't live in Vegas too I would've went back after Katrina. As it is I can't do that until my folks either move on or pass on. One of us kids has to be there for them just in case.

 

i completely understand, i have bothers and sisters where my folks live, so i sort of got out of dodge on that one. not that i left to avoid that duty, but rather left to avoid the bothers and sisters.

it was cold when he woke, he felt the air moved about his face as the wind pushed against the walls of the old house. There wasnt much keeping the cold or the wind out, the slated sides were stuffed with hay but if the wind was strong it could push right through. His belly told him it was time to begin his morning so he slide out form under the warm dear hides and found his heavy coat made of leather. It was cold to every bit of skin it touched as he slipped it on over his night clothes. his feet were freezing, even though he chose to sleep with his boot on. The fire in the stove was nothing more than ambers, and he took a moment to cast another dry oak log on in hopes it would help heat the place up while he was gone.

He braced himself with his hand rested on the rope that opened door, it was going to be cold and it was all he could do to prepare for it. with a quick pull a rush of frigged air blasted his face. 'Reckon i aut to get to it' he thought as he trudged out into the newly fallen snow. It was deep enough to come up up his boots, the hole in the bottom made sure to let a bit in. He slide his way down the well worn path to the door of the Privy and gave the flimsy door a yank, but the snow was putting up a fight to keep it shut, A good solid pull brought a pile of snow up his legs. There is was, the ice cold seat, and he was feeling the need to sit on it.

 

how does one spell aut, like in "I aut do that"

"aut" is probably a word......Oxford is adding all kind of crap to its pages....it's a disgrace if you ask me....the likes of "bootylishous" should not even be uttered let alone be welcomed into the institute of grammar.
