his horse stood still as his leg lifted over landing in the dry leaves below. his back ached, even his hands were numb from holding the rains for so long. When he started the sun was just rising, and now its just setting. He only had a short time before it would be dark, he tied off the leather straps to the tree branch and quickly began gathering sticks and brush. piling them into a small heap, he fished his sulfur stone from his pack. Soon there was a warm fire lighting the ground around him. The sun was now half gone as he unpacked his blanket and laid it on the cold hard dirt. his back would soon be resting he thought. His stomach groaned from hunger, but he had waited to long before he stopped. No way to hunt a critter in this light. It will be a long night, his head began to ache from the pains.

He walked to the edge of the light and tugged at his britches, soon the cold air was invading his warm crotch, his chaffed hands were an unpleasant reminder of the work he had done. He heard the sound of the stream striking the ground, felt the ease of his bladder, the smell of urine drifted up. This would be a bad time for a wolf to pop up he thought, and then laughed lightly to himself.

He thought a lot now, it had been weeks sense he last saw any glimpse of civilization. He thought he saw a few wagons two days prior, he rode his horse over near them only to find a bunch of oddly shaped rocks. He hadn't even heard his own voice in days, so he thought, i should say something. make a note, just to make sure it works. "Ahhh!" his voice spoke. It was strange and foreign to him.

he laid his head back onto the blanket and lowered the brim of his hat for no real reason at all.

 

That was pretty melancholy. :-|

 

Come to think of it, I'm surprised there was no mention of sex to be found in that little story. Appears grims is out of sorts today. :33:

 

Seems most are out of sorts lately, I blame the supermoon.

Nice! sounds fun. Going on a week. Had to take a few days off, maybe 4/7 here.

 

St Pats kicked off a 4 day NCAA Final Four lollapalooza here. A gazillion people decended on Vegas. Had alot of fun.

 

Hell yes. Was there once for that. Crazy.
