its sunday, 9:11pm and i just returned from my home in indiana.
im not in an exceptionally good mood but i did find out from someone on the CB tonight that Jesus saves, to be honest find that hard to believe that anybody can put some back in this economy but if anyone can im guessing he can, best part of the night the porn i set in the que to be downloaded is done. so i have that to look forward to.

 

Jesus was nothing if not frugal. I mean, feeding a great big crowd with only a few loaves and fishes? He would've made a good Home Ec teacher.

 

Or a politician.

 

He was already political, that's what more or less got him killed, all the prepostorous talk of communal living in an egalitarian, tax-free world where people lived in peace and harmony with each other and their enviroment. As if. The Roman Authority would have none of it. They didn't much care for free thinkers such as Jesus. Bad for public morale. Can't have people asking pesky questions of those in charge, challenging the status quo. Isn't it a relief we don't live in those times? Oh my, how the world has progressed over the millenia.

 

But the world still needs a lot of working on.

Humans will never live in harmony, ever. We'll do a reasonable job of tolerating one another but beyond that forget it. Too many opportunists, too many psychos mixed into the equation.

 

You never know, something could happen to change our minds.

However, that is what many times stop things from changing, one thinks that one improvement or idea would never work, so why try doing it.

As long we have doubt the changes we think we should have, that will never work, it will not work. But not necessary because we were right to not work, would be because we never try.

 

That's not it at all. The fundamental nature of human beings is to be selfish, to look out for number one. We may be social creatures, tribal in fact as we thrive in small communities, but we are also creatures of habit. We are hunter gathers at our core and that will always spur competiveness. With 6 billion of us and more every day, well never reach a consensus on anything, especially a shared cutural intellect.

Apparently it's ok for a deity to rape a 15 year old girl and impregnate her without her permission and everyone is ok with it.

 

That is pretty much animal instinct, but we can control ourselves.

In the world of today we can exert more control then ever. If we keep tighten the system up more and more, I don't see why we can't have a better world. But for that to happen, we need the right people to step it up. Maybe one day we will have many who fight for what they think is right, other then give up, and say it cannot be done.

Also who isn't to say, that in the future things such as greed and selfishness will not be cured. Scientists are learning more and more about our brains, maybe they find something there.
