have received my written offer from the Company this morning. am currently in negotiations with them now.

well their current offer is more than I am making now, but with my experience I have asked for a higher base salary. doesn't hurt to ask right?

they also have a 15% Bonus program based on your base salary. 3 weeks paid vacation plus a vacation travel assistance to a southern City. northern living allowance and match RSP's.

big thing is that they are offering me an apartment where they pay the utilities, such as power, heat and water rent free. I would pay a tax deductable.

Definitely doesn't hurt to ask, especially in the beginning. The more you can get now the higher your raises will be on the annuals.

I hear ya CAI, I will be too shortly. Been crazy again today. I did get finally get something working this afternoon that I've been working on for a couple of days

yup, the paid apartment is a huge benefit up here! so we'll see how they react to my request today. their Manager of Human Resources is off this afternoon so I'll talk with them in the morning.

 

So you move to their appartment or would they just take over the bills for the one you're in now?

I haven't had a raise in 3 years now, and they've already said no raises again for this year. :sad:

Moving's a pain in the ass, maybe you'll have good neighbors, good looking ones too

yeah, the economy thing is really kicking our ass. You wouldn't think it would effect hospitals that bad but it really does. People put off non-necessary surgeries because they can't afford co-pays, same as out patient procedures. It's killing us. Thanks for the thoughts though
