For Halloween 2 years ago, went to a karaoke bar with friends... Elvis impersonator jumped on... and he rapped Digital Underground's "Humpty Dance". Flawlessly. AND in an Elvis voice.

I bought him a drink and called him "God Of Karaoke" the rest of the night.

 

Any song, as long as it's not his and would sound funny with him singing it.

It amazes me how persistent cultural idioms can be. Originally, back in the middle ages, people started saying "God bless you" when people sneezed because the honestly believed that the soul would leave the body because of it. Think of that, you could sneeze your soul out!

Why we continue to say it to this day puzzles me. Instead, why don't we say something like, "Oh gross! Go wash your hands."

I've been told it's not "in" anymore to say Gesundheit when someone sneezes. Apparently, now the polite thing to do would be to apologize if you sneezed!

 

Client comes back after several weeks off sick at home due to a knee injury. First thing this morning:

Client: Hello! I'm so happy to be back! My knee is all better now!
Me: Hey that's great!
Client: Wanna see my knee?
Me: No, thanks.
Client: It's better now! There's not even a crust anymore!
Me: NO! Thanks!
Client *starts rolling up her pants leg*: Here! The bandage came off last Friday!
Me: I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT!!!

Just out of coincidence, my sister is having routine knee surgery today. My mom said to her, I'll be thinking of you when you're there.
My sister, knowing my mom sleeps in, says, my surgery is at 8 am. So my mom says, oh, I won't be thinking of you then... I'll think of you later.
