Why is GMT +14 impossible?

I'm GMT -8.

 

Yep. Been slow in here. I had to go hunting near the bottom of the GF menu to find it when I got here earlier. That was surprising.

 

Well if you look on the time zone map it if you are to the left of Greenwich you are in negative territiry such as yourself and to the right positive such as myself so unless they change it from 24 hours in a day then it isn't possible ...even with say daylight savings it becomes a different time zone expression eg AEDST (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time )

 

so technically i'm 18 hours ahead of you

 

That map is inaccurate. There are more than 24 time zones and there are several very bizarre ones out in the South Pacific that defy the International Date Line.

True that was one of the islands Jack and I were arguing about as on one of them their capital is right on the date line so that half of it is a full day between east and west so they changed it to their own time...again not GMT but you more than anyone realise the futility of trying to use logic on Jack

....as the saying goes everyone is good at least something ...i'm sure you are more knowledgeable on matter that would have me scratching my head...but heres one for you: I've had 3 jobs in 22 years and because of that when going for job interviews I don't have enough "life experience"...I remember the days when not changing jobs every 6 months was considered a a good thing
