My salary is partly paid out of taxes, so I won't complain.

 

but i'm quite sure u don't pay as much as we do f.e. for benzine, roadtaxes, gas water electricity, and so on..... I've compared holland with the countries from the rest of europe, and buy far in most things holland is the most expensive...

 

My salary is cut in two because of taxes....

 

if only the taxes would bring something back to the people it wouldn't be so bad.. we have road taxes both on the cars, and the fuel... and still we have to drive on shitty roads, with poor plowing and maintenance. we have to pay taxes to get access to healthcare, and they keep closing hospitals... I hate politicians.

 

In the U.S. there are Federal taxes paid to the U.S. government. There are also State taxes paid to the state you live in. In the cities, there are annual property taxes to pay for the property you live on. It all adds up, too.

What's the first thing you'd do if you had won it?

 

Down here only a small percentage of people pay teaxes..
Also whatever they pay goes to support the royal life-style
of our politicians and rulers which makes people pay lesser
and lesser as they see the wastage of their money

 

Car, Pay all Debts, Help friends/relatives out, Food and good coffee and root beer for me, and, of course, a field for my dogs to run in.

I'd pay off all my debts at first too, buy a house for my parents, pay for a luxury private assisted living for my brother, ummm. Maybe start up my own charity business for mentally ill people. Pay for all those therapies that the health insurance would never pay for.

 

Oh, yes, and lots of traveling!

 

Give lots of money to the animal shelters. Or better yet, start my own!

 

And I would hire a cook and a fitness trainer.
