About the maze...

Joe <extending a hand in greeting>: Hey Mr. Scribbs. How you doin' today?

Me <shaking hands>: Fine Joe. Nice to see you again. How's the plotting coming along?

Joe: Good, good. Check it out...

[Joe's handheld GPS device has been replaced with a laptop computer. He explains that the information from the Garvin is uploaded to the comp and displayed on a 3D CAD program he uses to visualize projects before he gets started. The image rotating on the screen has taken on a familiar shape.]

Joe: As you can see the maze is starting to look like-

Me: A brain. Yeah, I had a hunch. Causing you any trouble?

Joe <scratching his brow>: Not as such, no. Some of the guys have been reporting hearing, um... disembodied voices I guess you'd call 'em.

Me: Really? What do they say?

Joe: Well, my one guy, Kevin? He's been hearing what he says are a bunch of what he says are literary quotes and snippets of dialogue from old plays and such. The works of long dead authors and poets he says. Make any sense to you?

Me : Yeah. The maze master fancies himself a something of a literati. I think is aim in life is to emulate Alistair Cooke.

Joe: Who?

Me: Host of Masterpiece Theatre?

Joe : That stuffed shirt? What a snob. How old is this maze master guy?

Me: He's young, in his 20's.

Joe :33:: In that case I'd've expected to see a bunch of internet porn lying around.

Me : Day's still young Joe! Though if you do I imagine it will have a Victorian slant to it.... You haven't heard anything though, huh?

Joe <brow furled>: Weeeell, there was this one thing. Words to the affect of: Oh Sally! Your tines are as scathing bliss on my nubile flesh!

Me : Seriously?

Joe: Yes. :? There was also something concerning the words haft, tunnel and thrust, but I don't want to repeat it. Fuckin' disgusting!

Me : I agree... Anything about goats?

Joe :shock:: What?! Goats?

Me: Never mind.... I see you brought in temporary lighting, so I assume there's an electrician onsite?

Joe <visibly relieved with the change of subject>: Oh right, about that. Hang on a sec...

[Joe puts his two-way radio to use: Bill, you nearby? A voice crackles across the airwaves: Maybe. Where you at? Joe: Um, Broca's area. Bill: Yeah, I'm just around the, um, corner. Be there in a moment. And sure enough there he was.]

Bill: What's up?

Joe: This is Mr. Scribbs.

[We shake hands]

Me: Tell me what you've learned.

Bill: Well, the electrical system in here is really just a representation of the neural synopsis system of the... [he glances at Joe's laptop] Well, you apparently know. Anyway, it's live but it's also benign. We can tap into it though, place transformers here and there to create 110 volt AC/DC.

Me: Excellent, just what I was hoping. I've called in a guy from Audio Worx to see about installing a house system. Will drown out those pesky voices Joe.

Joe: Works for me.

Bill:

Joe: Come up with a color scheme yet?

Me: We're still batting around some ideas. In fact, I'm going to pursue that right now. Thanks for your time guys, see ya soon....

Yellow, lavender, lime, even pink is okay with me. Pure white ceilings for good reflectivity. Were gonna light this fucker up and leave no corner (so to speak) obscured.

Yellow and lime, some hot pink and a flashy turquoise woule be my choice. I agree on the white ceilings. To make them seem higher we could leave a strip of pure white at the top of the walls too.
