    im gonna give the game a real try when i find the time. Any type of sports with much passion should work for me. The thing with american football is that i must give it several games too fully understand the whole tactical part of the game.

    It can take awhile to get a firm grasp on rules and terminology - there's just so many of them - but if you've ever played the board game Stratego, the the kids' games 'capture the flag' or 'smear the queer' you'll have a basic understanding of the principles.

    im fully aware of that i just hate the usual comment about NFL around these parts. I dont get it. Well most people that say that have rarely watched a full game. They dont have the patience to sit through one game. At least give it 1 or 2 seasons im not saying you should watch every game. A sport of this character requires several matches.

    Well put. I've watched alot of what we call soccer and everyone else calls football. And by alot I mean at least 100 matches. I understand the game, most of the rules, etc, I just don't find it very captivating for the most part. I watch the world though because something is at stake and teams tend to play with more urgency.
