    Dreamer, the number of new construction permits are limited in the Keys. Carpetbaggers will pay that much money for a lot with a tar-paper shack on it (locally referred to as conch shacks) as then replacing the shack with a 10,000 square foot or greater mansion is considered redevelopment.....those permits are not restricted in number. The redevelopment must also conform to FEMA regs....i.e. the bottom of the finish first floor must be about 15 feet above natural ground and built on piles (poles).....very expensive construction. But the cost of the lots with existing permitted shacks on them start at $400K. :wink:

    Just in case I guess you could say. We've got a couple inches of snow, expecting another inch or so, then 1/2 inch of freezing rain, then more snow - ~ 6 - 8 inches is the last I've heard. Boss, 1 other co-worker, any my lucky self are the folks to come in and do whatever we can incase something happens.

    No, not really. Rain starting later tonight through tomorrow then temps drop to just below freezing for the next two or three nights. Atlanta is already having traffic problems....officials are asking folks to stay of the roads until Tuesday....:shock:

    Work week don't end till Friday. OT only counts after 40 hours worked. It all depends on if they send me home after the roads clear....if they allow me to work over the 40. Like I said Friday, if they send me home I'll be pissed. Time will tell.

    Same here, I would imagine I won't be home till Wednesday. If I'm lucky some time last Tuesday. It's pretty shitty out there right now. It is beautiful though.
