Melon...............I've been there a lot.............depression sucks........there are medications to treat it......I took some for a while.........some worked.......some did't.... I'm off all meds now.........I've come to live with my depression......and as stupid as it sounds............. go to happy places.............Like phun........to deal with things when i'm feeling down...............

 

Thank you. I'm glad that you feel this way. There are aspects of my life that I can't talk to anyone about. Even if you guys here don't respond in a way that might help me, the fact that I get to type all of this out is helpful anyway.

I hope it does. I go through this every winter, this winter is extra hard on me though. A breakup and risk of being thrown out of school aren't exactly things that cheer me up.

what's nice about a place like this is that you put it out there and you do feel better talking about it.

there are people that have gone through what you have, and they may share. like kaos has. I've gone through some weird shit and I've posted about it too.

it does help to just talk.

 

I'm currently on SSRI's. They don't seem to help though.
Fortunately the christmas break is coming up in less than 3 days. Hopefully that will give my some time to get my mind straight.

How about losing your job...........and not being able to find one for almost two years.............then losing your house...........and realizing you are going to have to move back home at the age of 40................I fuckin hate winter..........I lived in warm California for many years.........and would still be there.........if not for circumstances and the way things played out........

Yeah...the people who diagnosed me with mixed anxiety-depressive disorder I guess, didn't want to get a real shrink to help me, instead I've got some people to help me get a structured day-to-day life. I'm diagnosed with aspergers as well, and I guess that the main focus of the people who help me is this diagnosis.

 

I wouldn't say they have worked out yet..but..........Eventually........it will............

If I still have this mindset when I'm 40, and that happens to me, I'll most likely kill myself. That would be too much shit to handle. I live in Denmark, so that wouldn't happen to me thought, and even if our welfare system changes radically/I move to another country, I hope I'll have an education that I can rely on to get me a job.

What level of education have you got and where do you live?

I just read what I wrote above...I'm sorry if I come off as an asshole. It must really suck to be in that situation. I highly commend that you didn't just pick the easy way out. Life is full of ups and downs. Moving back in with your parents doesn't really seem that bad. I don't know how old your parents are, or whether or not you still live with them, but if they're getting old, you should appreciate this time that you get to spend with them.

Do you feel like elaborating on what caused this to happen?

 

I still get depressed.............but somehow find something on PHUN..........that helps aliviate it.........

 

I'm glad you're back...are you gonna read the posts that have been made since you left? I'd really appreciate it if you joined this conversation. I would really like to hear what you have to say, as you're quite a lot older than myself, and I think of you as a rather intelligent and observant person.

 

Yours sounds like a simply terriifying condition to have to live and cope with Mel. I sincerely hope you find resolution in the future.
