When I was in high school living back in Vermont, I worked at a gas station for a part time job. We were right off the main highway that went into Canada and we'd get a lot of tourists stopping during the summer to get gas before they would head into Canada. On one of my shifts, a guy pulls in and asks me if I could help him because he was lost. I said sure and we went back over to his car and he pulls out a map........of the entire United States and he asks me (in all seriousness) to let him know where he was. I had all I could do not to break out laughing at him.

 

Been there myself with people like that ...I had two little old ladies that were halfway through a 500km trip that came in and asked if the little red oilcan light coming on meant that they had to change the oil in the car? I said no you just need to top it up...turns out it had been on just after they started and the car ended up taking 2 litres in a car that normally has 3.5 lites of oil
I suggested that they might want to get a mechanic to check it over when they got to where they were going

 

Yes, I have many penpals and online friends all over. And I sucked in geography.

 

Right now I was walking on the street and I saw some chalk lines on the ground.....I started thinking of the chalk-outlines they draw around bodies and wondered what people would think if there was a chalk-outline of an ostrich drawn right there.......had to bit my lip to keep from laughing out loud.

I used to be a member on a penpal site (which doesn't exist any more) and the forum that came after that site. I'm still a member there but it's gotten so boring.
I met a lot of cool people, even met some of them.
