I usually have to go somewhere for school at least once a year. Last year was Minneapolis and Chicago - they're both about 2 1/2 hour flights. Those aren't bad at all, I usually read the whole time we're in the air.

I really don't know a whole lot about it honestly. I've been on the ward many times to fix their computers but I usually just go do what I gotta do and get the hell out. Most of the patients here are people that attempted suicide. There's 3 different levels here depending on what risk they are to themselves and others. Then there's an outpatiet level that's on the same floor that's basically like a clinic for folks that's been here and went home. Kinda close to what I would imagine you do Yay.

That sounds pretty much like our clinics here. I work with patients who are trying to get back into a job or need some daily structure to avoid isolation at home. Most of them live in assisted living homes or have their own place. All of this is paid for by the state who has an interest in getting them back to work and making them into tax payers again, so that's how companies like the one I work for get their funds. I was wondering if there's something similar in the U.S. or if it's all charity organizations.

 

We get new applications in here constantly. I'm the one that does the server installs, pushes the client to the workstations, upgrades, and baby sits the new apps. So I go to whoevers we get the app froms education center to learn the new system. People would shit if they actually realized how many things in healthcare are ran by computers.

Depends on the severity of it and the age of the patient. There's really no cut and dry answer for that. Just like everything else that's gov't ran here it's all screwed up.

Even in a body shop we have 18 computers which are used to quote, order parts, map out the job, inform insurance companies, straighten chassis etc ...the computers go down and everything goes to hell :2cent:
