1 divided by 0.5, should read 1 divided in 0.5 instead, the result should be 2 halfs of 1 and not 2. Is absurd to think that if I have 1 apple and I divide in half I'll have 2 apples.

Correct. However we write 1/.5=2, and not =2 halfs of 1, which is what is.

yea but it's just a sense on logical maths, the same with counting in powers (2). were not writing everything down in maths it's just the way it goes ;0

I know you can divide an apple in 2, heck you can divide an apple as many times you want, that is not were my problem lies. writing 1/.5=2, Is like saying one apple divide by half (the by makes no sense) equal two apples. And that is incorrect you won't have two apples.

imo it's not incorrect math is also about thinking logical, and imo u think to much about how things work

 

if u take 100 dollars from me, return me first half i.e 50, so do I need to get from u 50 more or 200 ?
