Johnny Winter has a bunch of blues/rock stuff out there. His brother Edgar's biggest hits were "Frankenstein" and "Free Ride." Rick Derringer was part of that crowd too. Remember "Rock and Roll, Hootchie Coo?"

it was amazing how good it was, how well it ages, i can turn on something from 1970 and my kids are like, yea this is great, never losses that appeal i guess

but when you think of the performers that were around back then, it must have been hard to be a musician. i mean, think about walking into the studio to try and get a gig as a studio guy and eric clapton or someone like that was sitting there,

 

and now for something completely different.

I bet they were more supportive of one another before the music biz became all corporate and cutthroat and all. The 60's and 70's were the halcyon days of contemporary music. All styles welcome. Just bring it.
