They stopped selling them here in the early 90's due to poor sales...even tried sexing it up with a slice of pineapple and calling it the Troppo Yumbo :p

I started in 88 and finished in 2000......I was the first to get Long service leave and they had no clue how to do it as the average lifespan of a crew mwmber was 6-9 months :p
The "special burgers" I remember beyond the regular items were the Swiss Mushroom burger essentially a plain double cheese burger with mayo and tinned mushroom
The pizza burger again a plain baconburger with special sauce
The Aussieburger which ended up becoming a menu item
The BBQ Bacon Whooper and Burger...substitute the Ketchup for a smokey BBQ sauce and voila
and the Stockmans Burger essentially a whopper minus pickles and ketchup on a Damper roll
Oh and the steak roll which had cooked onion on it and a BBQ sauce

The yumbo's over here were ham sandwiches with a massive amount of melted cheese on them. It was a tasty mess. :p

We had a taco burger as a special too.

I remember one of my friends taking a spatula and getting a massive glob of mayonnaise on it...he called my name and soon as I looked over, he flicked it towards me and I ended up with a face full of mayo. I paid him back by taking the hot sauce bottle for the taco burgers and squeezing half a bottle of sauce down the back of his pants.

After a few seconds, he starting yelling 'it burns, it burns' and ran to the bathroom

They have chicken and fish though, and honestly I prefer it. Slightly healthier too.

 good times we used to put grids into the mayo...loosed the ketchup bottle lids and back in the day girls were counter staff and us guys were in the kitchen for the most part but when we were out the front we'd call a till check (code for hot chick) on some really old ugly fat bloke just to see the guys come running ;) and on some of the really dopey cashiers we'd order a vegeterian hamburger plain minus the bun...you'd be surprised how many called it ;)

And I was this close to making wht they referred to as a Golden Whopper which whilst Burger King inspectors were here ...all the weights were correct just that one of the tomatoes had a bit of green in it

check out the 80's burger king babes (my god, the hair!) My friend and I would spend most of the night in the dinning room during spring break taking pics and finding out where the parties were that night. The one I worked at was right across from the ocean in Daytona Beach. :)

Over here we've only just gone 24 hours in the last couple of years....and don't tell me that white Tshirt was your uniform
We started off with a dark brown shirt with yellow ornage and red stripes then went to a lime green with blue stripes-both were as itchy as hell and you HAD to wear something under them and then to a White shirt with brown/orange/red stripes...my god they were horrible uniforms and the pants were provided and had no pockets so we couldn't get any ideas ;)

We got to wear t-shirts during spring break. My original uniform was this horrible hot, itchy brown and orange mess. Sounds a little like yours. We switched to blue pants and a green polo style shirt later. It was much, much better.

 sounds like Burger King/Hungry Jacks were run by a bunch of sadistic bastards on both sides of the world....we had to wear the same uniform all year round and to top it off the aircon was installed wrong so instead of being able to be comfortable in the kitchen in summer we sweated like pigs so the customers were comfortable..it would reach up to 45 degrees celcius and we'd all be making excuses to go to the walk in cooler and freezer ;)

 All we got were the same people over and over The weirdest ones we'd get would be the morbidly obese ordering a Whopper Double Beef with Cheese and Bacon Heavy Mayo Heavy cheese heavy bacon with a large fries but with a large Diet Coke just to even things up a bit :2cent:

You have to wonder....I was the SCP for quite a few years and every Friday we'd change over Syrup boxes for the weekends..back when the Coke ones waeighed 25kg and we were allowed to take home what was left in them so we'd have coke, fanta and sprite cordial at home :). This was back in the day when we were that slow we'd fold fry cartons to pass the time away between customers

The first day we got chicken tenders at BK, the night shift was over 150 tenders short at the end of the night. There were three of us working and we sampled them all night. :p
