    I just returned from a gather where I ran into a long time biker friend who I have not seen for several months. Turns out he has been recuperating from a bike accident. He was riding with friend on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Smokey Mountains in North Carolina), going around a curve when a bear hit him! :shock: That's right, a bear ran into him! It seems the bear lost its footing at the top of a steep rocky cliff and fell down it hitting my friend's front wheel. This was documented by those riding behind him. This happened in May and he is still on the mend with more surgeries needed to fix his destroyed left shoulder.....A Fucking Bear Hit him! Jesus! If not for wearing full leathers and helmet, he and his wife would probably not have survived......A fucking Bear....unbelievable! :shock:

    A clumsy kinda bear! :rofl: OK, from that area probably a common brown or black bear. We don't have Grisly or Polar bears in the southeast USA. :lol:
