Allowed picture hosts - a humble suggestion

I used imagesocked but they tend to delete my pics.
Now I use imagevenue but their script is bad. I can upload 1 or 2 times and then upload doesn't work/finish.
On other boards I use stooorage which isn't allowed here. Dunno why. They have no popups, previews are of good size and upload/download is VERY fast and reliable.
Don't get me wrong ... it's not "Mom, I found a new pichost" ... I think stooorage is one of the best.

 

Because it's a question of reliability!. Many new pic hosts start-up with no pop-up's, 100% uptime and so fourth, and after a few months, reliability becomes an issue.

The current approved image hosts have good reliability and more importantly, have been in the business long enough to warrant their approval, as someone who post's regularly, I will always stay away from image hosts that have not been in the business long enough to warrant me taking time to upload pics...I use imagevenue as well and have not encountered any issues with them.

 

use IIIUploader for mass uploading to imagevenue,easier and a lot faster than the web upload.

Nice to see you all debating this, but this decision is up to the Mods and Admins of this forum, and currently we are not looking to add to our allowed image hosts. We are very happy with our current list, and unless one of them goes down, that will be our list for the foreseeable future.

 

Reliability doesn't necessarily equate to load time :2cent:

 

Sorry that I'm refreshing this topic, but problem still remains. Stooorage.com is currently the best image host. They're not removing pics (like ImageVenue) and uploading images is much faster than for example ImageVenue. Question to authorities of this forum - could you reconsider adding Stooorage.com to Allowed host-list? Thank you!

Yeah. One of the reasons was unsure reliability. Now it's sure.

I do. And one addictional reason is deleting pictures by ImageVenue (copyright issue). Stooorage hasn't this problem.

And I'm wondering what with Filesonic Preview? Will they be allowed?

 

P4:s answer should be sufficient enough i dont see any need for a further debate at this point.

stooorage.com has more than proven to be a good, reliable and fast image host.

They're the least intrusive of all image hosts out there, how they're not allowed dumbfounds me.

You're going to win plaudits with an attitude like that...not.

The allowed picture host rule has worked well since implemented and suggestions/comments are always welcome. But nor do "we" need people to tell us what to do, especially on their first post.
