Opinions needed.

My gf/ex/it's complicated (who wants us to be together) was here last week and said she had to go back home (a coupel of hours away) cause she was gonna teach a friend a couple of songs on the piano, for no particular reason. I was gutted cause I'm only around for a couple of weeks more, after which I'm really busy and probably won't have much time to see her.

I told her this and she think that I am being selfish and said that her life does not revolve around me. I said that if it was something important or something that couldn't be done in a couple of weeks then I would understand, but this seemed unimportant and really wasn't worth driving 2 hours for.

She seems to think that I want her to drop everything and spend 365 days of the year with me if she wants me back, but I just want her to prioratise and realise that spending time with me in the last week when I'm free is more imporant than some other things.

Fair?

Yeah I think so. I've often found that when people accuse you of being selfish without considering their own behavior, are often enough very selfish - or self centered - themselves. Double standard, hypocracy, call it what you want. I find that attitude irritating and tend to distance myself from people like that.

Cause we've had a long distance relationship for a long time and we thought we were gonna live together. Then she didn't get a job and got really depressed. And also, when it's long distance, I expect more of the time we do get to spend together - which is tough.

Add to that her family are fucking mental.

It feels like the right person at the wrong time in the wrong circumstances. And we both feel that. But we can't seem to accept that and give up, or try harder either. I think when she gets a job and doesn't live with her family anymore things will become clearer. But right now she's the one who wants it more than me, and I will she isn't doing anything to show that.
