as for the drawing method, I dunno if I'd classify it s comic book...but I can't think of a name for it.

I've only seen A Clockwork Orange once and that was a long ass time ago

I agree, it's not really comic book style, or news print.

 

is it a filter you just applied to the image or did you do it yourself

 

no filter. It's a whole process i'm trying to develop. It's 4 layers, some retinex contrasting from movie editing, a grain layer and a lighting layer

 

except for lighting, and masking, I dont really use filters.

Made some new tea. If you mean is it like topaz or something, no, I dont use any tools like that. Most of them arent even available in gimp, and I dont really like them anyway.

 

well my brain is too dead right now to come up with a name for it

but now that I think about it, it does kind of look like if you took an old movie poster and then raised the contrast quite a bit

 

I was gonna say it looks like a movie poster/dvd cover style pic

 

You should watch it again, its a great movie.

 

It's really not that difficult to do, and if you added in an edge layer you could get a more drawn look, I really just started trying it as a process tonite. Lemme try an edge layer on it, brb.
