    I always cook steaks as fast as posible to keep the juices in. Depending on how thick they are I cook them on high heat and about 5 minutes on each side - a nice medium - medium rare.

    that's what I do, but then I slowly boil them for about half an hour to an hour to make them less tough. and then the water could easily be made into a tasty sauce!

    it's not real steak, I just cut into steaks when I got it from the buchers!

    I got no grill, so I'll have to make them this way! the result is totally different on a grill, the closest thing is to cook them in the oven!

    It sounds like you've got what we call a flank steak. The crock pot cooks it just like you're talking about but in 1 thing rather than having to boil them then pan fry them. Tastes the same but easier to cook.

    my bbq is stored in a shack.. to much snow to get to it yet.. but soon!

    never seen a crock pot in any store... either it can't be bought here or I haven't looked close enough!
