It's excellent gents, and based on a book written by the same guy that gave us Band of Brothers. Stephen Ambrose.

You're hard pressed to find a movie/mini series in this day, and age that doesn't take their liberties with the historical perspective CylnZ. Sad as that is, I still weep like a little girl when I watch the Normandy cemetery scenes from Saving Private Ryan, a few of the scenes during the Battle of The Bulge from Band of Brothers, and already on occasion during The Pacific.
