do NUTS posts belong in the celeb section?

i have been getting real tired lately of the massive amount of these NUTS and other magazine models being posted in celebs..

and i know for a fact i'm not the only one..
and i know there is at least one mod who also agrees that they don't belong in celebs..

when a member makes 4 threads for one photoshoot it irritates me also..

really, was it necessary to do this?..

and how exactly are they celebs? they are only famous for being topless, which in my book is a model..

I've posted Nuts Babes in Celebs before, did not see it as a big deal.

I remember talking with a Moderator about this. the view was that if the Lady was posted in a Magazine, was deemed alright to post in Celebs.

 

It has been like that for a long time so I'm still following this way.

I don't see any trouble myself. And I never had. It's the same for model calendars who usually pose for Nuts or Zoo.

 

I agree with D$, there is a separate Model forum so why post it in Celebs.

 

It comes down to the definition of "celeb", and unless we, meaning the Mods and Cayne, can come up with a definitive answer, we will never come up with a solution that appeases most, definitely not all.

The Model Forum, IMO, is for erotic models who's primary method of work is being naked.

Page 6 girls, are not celebs in the US, but they are in the UK, so how do we differentiate the two? We can't, and that is our problem

 

I don't really understand why they are in the celeb section either. I do have to bring up that Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated models are always posted in the celeb section and nobody has a problem with it. I am not talking about Romijn, Klum, Tyra and the other ones who also do movies and tv.


And before anyone brings it up, Reality tv stars are celebs and as much as some don't like it Lohan is and always will be a celebrity even if you don't like how her career is going.

 

Understood boss, but here's my opinion : let's keep this method because you're doing this since a long time. Why changing something that already work anyway!

surely there are models in the model forum who don't do XXX, i'm sure there are some who just do topless..

sorry, i never go there so i don't really know..

and i do see both sides of the argument, there really isn't a right forum to post them in..


but at the same time (this refers to the 'One word posts screwing threads' thread), if one person posts 4-5 threads of these chicks, and another member comes and posts a couple and so on, there go all the 'real' celebs posts right to page 2..

 

Very few just do topless. Most do complete nudes, and girl/girl shoots. soft and hardcore.

XXX means graphic sexual porn, and we have a place for that in the Model Forum too.

That's a shame, we have some really hot stuff in the Model Forum, plus some really nice artistic stuff too.

Correct, and since collections and mega-threads are not permitted in the Celeb Forum, there isn't one place to post them either.

In the Model Forum we have a Hardcore, Artistic, Asian and Redhead threads to name a few, not that someone has to post in those threads, but it does cut down on the flood of threads.

That's when we Mods must step in an weed some out. Salty is the celeb man, so maybe he can come up with some options, and we can have a discussion about it in the Mod Forum

 

Some of those Page 3 models do have a fan following like the ordinary US celebrities do. Also the print and photo media follows them 24/7 like here in the US too.

You look at Amy Green or Danni Wells and they are probably signing a thousand autographs at their stands during shows.

 

I agree. If we move Nuts posts to the Model Forum, then there's probably other posts of models who's posts should be getting moved, such as the VS ones, WWE babes etc. (Some of the Asian gals inuk posts aren't well known in a lot of laces but are seen as a celeb to some, likewise the South American ones elturko posts). I don't see a problem with the way things are. The threads in question are well labelled, if you don't like them then move on.

Give me 4-5 of these threads of new pics over 4-5 threads daily of 2003 & 2004 event pics of a celeb that have been posted here before.

I never said that it couldn't be discussed, I was putting forward my thoughts, like other people have. I don't like to lock topics when people have opinions to put forward. You've had your say, and you're welcome to post what you feel about the issue and any responses. I don't like the .. being put in as a reference that a topic should be locked when a mod doesn't agree with what has been posted.

 

I think people need to take into consideration the geographical location when considering these things, and also the media (papers/TV) they are exposed too.

These girls are literally no ones outside GB and I for most, but here they have celebrity be that A or Z list.

This week alone, Rhiann is the papers and magazines here for her involvement with a celeb, she is also featured in a television documentary. Lindsey Strutt is also the subject of a television programme here. Nicola T also recently appeared in big brother, Sophie has her own show, albeit now web based.

To give an flipside example, who the hell is Kim Kardashian? or her sister? or Brooke Hogan? culturaly they are irrelevent here.

People need to consider that phun is a global forum, why should a model/ tv personality be stuck in the model forum with 'internet' models that do hardcore?

There is a clear difference, I also think that in raising the issue people should give some consideration to the likes of Ashgate, the Iron dude and other who bring us this stuff every week.
