SQL 2005. This shit is a pain in the ass. Been working on it for the past 7 months. Basically built from the ground up, custom tailored for the business. Had an old database and needed to transfer everything over from old to new. Plus needed to have a document management system for SOPs for cGMP protocol. I have enjoyed the process tho, I must say, because I actually work in the company that I am creating the database for so it feels more personal.

 

yea its minor from what I understand of it. She may even come home the same day if all goes well. They are hoping to be able to do 3 very small incisions to remove it, but under certain circumstances they may have to do a full cut to get at it. She is really nervous being that she has never had surgery before.

wow! no surgery huh? Ive had suregry like 5 times. Nothing major, but I still am familiar with the process. The anesthesia is whats making her the most nervous. I told her that its nothing, you just fall asleep. When you wake up you are quite disoriented, but that doesnt last too long, maybe an hour or so.

 

gonna go have a smoke. be back in a bit.....hopefully. Gotta log off, I dont leave anything running while Im away from my area.

 

I've broken bones before, popped my shoulder but no surgery yet. I'm supposed to get surgery done on my shoulder sometime. either put a bolt behind my socket so it doesn't pop out again or they are going to tighten up my tendons in my left shoulder.

I've popped it out so many times. 4 or 5 times I've put it back in myself, 4 times I've had to go see the nurses so they can put it back in after I couldn't do it. demeral is alright but Morphine is fuggin awesome!

I've just been pushed into SQL - I have no dba experience what-so-ever! Working here you have to wear many different hats, just comes with the territory, job security I guess but damn if it ain't stressful.

Wife had that done too, they did hers laproscopic. It was same day and she was only down for a few days. Gotta watch the diet after she has it done - you're really prone to heatburn with foods that you normally don't get it from after they take it out.

I work for a company called Wilshire Technologies and Katroxin Pharmaceuticals. 2 Businesses under the same roof. Wilshire is a chemical trading company. We provide chemical compounds for pharmaceutical companies. Katronix handles a product called NozAmi. Its an all natural sesame oil nasal spray. I too wear many different hats. We are a small business, only 3 employees, so I handle quite a few different jobs. From database management, to record keeping, to marketing, to shipping, to generating documents and spredsheets.

Yea that laproscopic thing is what they are hoping to be able to get away with. im hoping that it goes well and she can be up and running soon. I had heard that she might have some issues with some foods. Cant be any worse than the intense pain she has been dealing with from the gallstones.

Sounds like a lot of work! I've worked for small and large companies. Don't know which one I like best - small is more personal - which is good sometimes and bad sometimes. Kinda gotta worry about the economy more with a small buisness. Larger ones - you just do your job and go home. But gotta worry about layoffs with them. Coin toss I guess.

Oh yeah, she felt much better after she had hers removed. From what I understand different foods affect different people. It's a touch and go deal till she learns what will bother her.
