its become humid because the rainy season (monsoons) have started...as long as it rains its ok but afterwards if there is no breeze and temp in high 30s it becomes opressively hot

Nah...Dubai was hotter, but the whole damn city is practically air conditioned..hehe

 

It still amazes me how people can adapt to the Arctic (like inuk) and places like your city, or Dubai, etc. -- it must be very difficult.

 

its becomes annoying once you are outside in the open..otherwise homes, offices, cars, shopping places etc are air conditioned..Still I would have preferred the cold...I stayed in Tehran just b4 the revolution for a couple of years and loved it...3 months of solid snow..

 

I didn't know Tehran got that much snow! Are the winters similar to the U.S. winters, or are they warmer?

 

In Tehran it gets pretty cold during winters specially if you live near the Damavand mountain base....Summers are hot but not unpleasently hot...
Down here winters temps can reach freezing point briefly...however the north of our country is freezing cold being the foot hills of Himalayas

 

I can't even comprehend being near the Himalayas. However, I am surrounded by the Great Lakes, which I sometimes take for granted!

That is good advice. I always try to appreciate the "little things." My pet dogs... A nice day... A good sleep... etc...

 

The cyst came back and it's black and blue from the shots in the back of my left knee. :? But the pain is less because of the cortisone shot. So, I wait a week or so and see what happens next. Does it improve, or get worse? I'll just have to see.

It's a substantial a bump in the back of my left knee. When the leg is straightened the lump is hard. When I'm sitting and the knee bends 90 degrees, you can feel that its is actually soft.

 

......maybe you could take some resting leave for your knee?You know you wont last long this way...it will get worse...

 

The terms of my job dictate that I have to work to make money. I have used up my vacation and personal hours already with this. I have to accumulate real work hours to earn more personal and vacation hours.

 

Besides, if I rested at home for a couple weeks, I'd hit 50k posts and have to do a big milestone!

It's a "vicious circle" that happens in many jobs that involve heavy labor. You just have to do your best, and hope that a better job comes along. (Jobs are difficult to find in the U.S now.)
