People bitch on it, but if you like spoof-ish comedy with it's tongue firmly in it's cheek, it's great.

I finally saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Die Hard 4. (I'm a couple years behind in my movies.)

That's his actual credit. Cleese gets some of the best lines, but it's The Narrator that steals the whole film (`Meanwhile, on a very expensive waterfall set`, `Every film needs a really big coincidence, and here's ours`)

Which version of Die Hard 4 did you see? The shitty PG-13 version, or the proper version? ;)

And is Sarah Marshall really any good? I have this pathological hatred for Russell Brand and not a huge fondness for American rom-coms.

I saw the uncensored, HBO version. Not sure if that's the proper one you're referring to.

It is good. My takeaways are that Mila Kunis is born for the screen, as is Kristen Bell. If I were a critical critic I could take it apart, but Mila and Kristen stole the show, imho.

Weird how after all these years, election night specials are pretty much the same.

Was the `Yippee-ky-ai-motherfucker` edited with the gunshot, to remove the `fucker`?

In the proper version we got on DVD over here, there was a lot more swearing and a lot more graphic on the violence, a neck snap of two, audible.

HBO usually shows the "rated" versions released in U.S. theaters. (The proper versions.) Then they sell the "unrated" to rake in more moolah.

I'm listening to the news. (I've only been home from work for a little while.) Sounds like North Korea was a baaaaad boy last night.

    Proper version then.

    Meh.

You ever hear the analogy of the big dog and the little dog?

The little dog will yap-yap-yap and try to nip at your heels, making all manner of noise and just generally being an annoying little bastard, because it knows it can't do much more than that.

The big dog doesn't make much noise at all, because it knows it can tear your throat out without too much effort.
