    what happened was i am a member of a pay site that offers various "things" for grab that is usually 99.99% safe. So when i downloaded a software to convert videos files to mpg4 so i can play them on my psp it installed a trojan virus that turned my computer into a spamming bot. I could not get rid of it so I had to reformat. :(

    you know as long as i have been messing around with computers I still have never gotten it all right. I have installed and uninstalled so many software that you are right, it is a good idea to start fresh all over again anyways. Now I can install just the programs i like and use rather than all these other trial programs that eat up memory and cpu capacity.

    i don't know if you are US based, but i found a 22" wide screen lcd monitor from best buys( very reputable company) for 50 bucks! the only shitty thing is shipping is $18, tax is $5, and "recycliung" fee another 20 bucks made it from a bargain to just a decent deal. :-?

    the one i have now i try to keep running smooth although it still has quite a but of useless crap on it, my laptop i have to reformat all the time thought, but its simple because it has a recovery partition

    as soon as these .net frameworks are installed on my main pc i can plug in my externals which have most of my software as well as my booked favorites and make it very similar to how it was before the virus.
