am i doing this right?

 

if this is real it's fantastic. however, i'm sceptical you could bring out that much detail in her nipples, and they look exactly like her nipples in some of the pics in the New Yorker Marilyn Monroe shoot. I guess since that's what her nips look like could explain it, but like i say, I'm a bit sceptical you were able to bring that much detail out of that bikini top.

btw, if you really did bring that out with brightness/contrast/saturation, please do her bikini bottoms as well.

That's basically it Sid - start by tweaking the brightness & contrast to see if there's any hidden detail to be had, then you may also need to adjust the hue & saturation as in your Kristen Bell pic, it oranged up quite a bit, so cutting the saturation & then moving the hue a bit will bring it back closer to normal looking. Once I've got the details, I prefer to also "enhance" the image, mostly by colorizing to match the skin tones, and adding shadowing to make the transparent effect more real looking. This is mostly done by selectively burning or dodging specific areas on a limited basis, but it's not necessary, just personal preference.

It wasn't done using the traditional x-ray techniques common in this thread, there was quite a lot of artistic interpretation on my part.

fair enough. even though i'd prefer "terrapin" and "cthru" styled xrays, your artistic license is pretty hot in that lindsay pic.

 

Thanks for the welcoming & comments, but especially for linking me to this forum, which I had lost trace of and considered closed. They seem to have hidden it well, and I’m sure not everybody has re-discovered it.

As regards my image enhancements or adjustments, as I prefer to call them, they are not really “creative” in the sense often used here and since they keep the resulting image genuine, I believe they can be posted in any celeb pics section. Indeed, I had been posting them for some time in the Celebrity Section “***0ops,…” thread without mod reaction.

Nevertheless, I do agree that they also belong at least as much here.

 

Yeah, as you can see by how this thread isn't viewed as often as it used to be, probably because it's kind of tucked away out of sight now, as many don't venture too far from the celeb section when they want to see celeb pics, and it isn't even stickied at the top anymore. I'd agree on the what we both consider "enhancements" being able to co-exist with the regular pics, but I don't make the rules, and some tend to get a little too "creative" with what they classify as an X-ray which tends to blur the line between enhancement & faking, but I don't want to open that can of worms here again! I think that's one of the reasons it got moved here unfortunately. A permanent announcement note or forwarding link in the celeb section might have been a good idea.

The "Oops" thread kind of goes it's own way, with little intervention, as there are often repeated images posted within it there as new people discover it and participate. It's also kind of a catch-all for the people that just want a quick celeb fix without having to look through all the various celeb posts with often far too little payoff.

You don't have to make multiple posts for requests, just put them all in one, using the button if you can't paste the links all at once.

Personally I'm not a big fan of a lot of requests, as often they can be pics that aren't ideal for a proper X-ray attempt or just don't grab the interest of the people that do the work, often clogging the thread with ordinary pics. You do have some decent candidates there, and several have already been done further back in the thread.

 

MEDO11 has posted these in the celebrity section, can someone enhance them? Thank you.

 

Why settle for an X-ray when there are lots of real topless shots of Kelly Brook already out there?
