In the bands/artists contest is it just me or does #6 "The Pinball Wizard" sig not really work with the theme?

Pinball Wizard was a song by the Who, yet the sig makes no mention to a band or artist whatsoever. Simply the song...

Maybe I'm just being to technical but I thought I'd bring it up.

 

Well, nothing like creating the thread earlier than usual...

 

Week 2 was actually posted earlier but I know what you are saying. We need an exact time so that we know when it needs to be posted. Every week has been different and I know Bio you probably have a job and only have certain amounts of time to post it but in the future you should post an exact time.

 

I just was working on the time they said earlier in this thread... 8 hours and some odd minutes remaining. That would have been 4:00 AM my time. At 2:15 AM my time they had already posted everything. Very dissapointing...

 

why are people publically telling us who they voted for. it is meant to be anonumous this week, to see how it goes. it was easy to count them anyway.

 

I didnt see anywhere saying its anonymous...

 

it's not in the OP but it has been discussed for 2 weeks about how we need to get the poll extended so that voting is anon. people were thinking that seeing the voting influenced others. or maybe who voted for what made an influence.

 

I'm sorry that you couldn't enter because of that, but I have always posted the thread at about 6am my time, same time this week.

I have a job where I don't have access to a computer so I have to post it before I go to work, as long as I run the competition that's not gonna change. If there's someone who is in a better time zone or has more time to do it then they should volunteer to take over.

But come on... how hard is it to send me the entry a day before the deadline, don't wait til the last minute .

Oh, about the voting... I still don't realy care if people announce who they voted for. I'm not influenced by that (I vote for the sig I like best). And nobody should be influenced by that. We're not lemmings .
If you guys realy think it's a bad idea then I'll put it in the rules to keep your vote a secret.

 

personally, just for this week and next, i think voting should be secret until voting ends. week 1 was good that way. we can see how it goes then. but obviously its up to everyone/the majority.

 

This week has easily been my favourite theme so far. I could have done loads of stuff for this and loved it all.

 

Agreed, it's one of the most open ended themes we've had to date.

Great quality sigs this week as well, not that I think we'll ever have any real 'bad' entries. There's some serious talent on this board for sure.
