Like i said, it depends on the series. If the game's going to draw, and, let's say, it's the fourth of five, one other draw and one win apiece, declare, and rest your bowlers for the deciding match. I'm just riffing here, but i can see the tactical benefits in such an action. Not to mention a bit of psyops thrown in.

I understand what you mean. If your going to declare on the fourth day do it a few overs before tea so you get a 5-10 over go at them before Tea and then have another fresh go at them after tea. Don't let em get settles.
