    Lets see;

    Painful arrogance with nothing to back it up.

    No military victories.......for a while.

    A belief that French is a thriving and growing language, instead of the dying one it is.

    The fact they trumpet their Resistance during World War II, but skirt around the fact that the majority of the country was in Vichy territory and cheerfully collabarated with the Germans.

    Oh, and they surrendered Paris, lest it get scratched by a German attack.


    That's plenty to be going along with.
