Hope the dog is ok, PM. I was with rellies overseas and their dog has an eye infection, hopefuly he won't lose it. Poor thing had the brace on to stop him from ripping at it.

 

Blaze has a clear plastic cone that I put over her head so she won't chew off the bandages and the stitches. Makes her look like a doofus. She walks around like, "OK, you've sliced down my leg, and now I have to wear this thing? What, are you trying to kill me?"

Well, i just got up, so the jury is still out.

Booootiful day though. I may go for a drive, just for the hell of it.

 

And, when do you set your clocks forward ah hour. We did it Sat. night/Sun. morning. At the moment I'm GMT -4.

 

I think we do it on the weekend of the 22nd. I can never remember, till my TV mag tells me.

 

Does GMT change, or just regions of the U.K.?

 

All of the UK, and Ireland i believe, step forward an hour into BST, or British Summer Time. Well, we call it BST, but i doubt that's what they call it in Ireland.

I think they still do Daylight Savings because we did Daylight Savings way back when. And it would be kind of weird to cross the border from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland and have to change your watch.

 

And GMT doesn't change; GMT stays exactly the same, as a yardstick for the rest of the world. It's just our local time that changes.

 

Interesting that the BBC World Service radio I listen to (in the summer, too) still gives the time as if there is no DST.

Did you see the Emmy post? You've gotta PM me if there are adds when I'm sleeping, which will commence in about a half hour.

 

Well, it's the World Service; they recognise that DST doesn't affect the world in the same way. So, they stick to GMT throughout.

You do realise that when you wake up and come back, if there are adds, they'll be there. We won't post them, then delete them just for the jolly of having you miss out.
