  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    very user friendly and great for starting out.
    there are some good youtube tutorials to get you going.

    did you figure it out?

    file, open, choose pic.

    or go to your pics, right click, edit with gimp.

    to get sig size, press ctrl + n. 450 x 150.

    when scaling pics, hold down the shift button so it retains it's scale.

    to cut out, you need to open the alpha channel (the checkerd background)

    to start out, it's easier to cut out using the fuzzy brush.

    also, google gimp brushes, and you will find loads of great free brushes to use with it. and jamms has a thread with 3000+ fonts.
