minimum age for pics in celebrity section?

Two postings of pics of Dakota Fanning (who turns 15 in December) that I added today were deleted, so here's my question: what's the minimum age for pics of celebrities? Thanks. Not trying to seem difficult about the deletions, I want only to clarify.

 

I'm not a moderator but my guess is that you used a banned download website; example may be imagebam.com. My other guess is that the pics may have not been given props or had the site name on the pics. Or maybe you failed to put the celeb name followed by the website you found them in your subject line when you posted. I don't think there is an age limit, as long as there is no nudity and she is of age.

 

there was a big discussion about it a few months back when someone posts Dakta back then.

after that it was agreed by all that no posts would be made until the girls were 16. it might all be legal and above board within the pics but it attracts the completely wrong idea about this place.

 

we can't keep the perverts from being perverts so it was trashed. I also banned the idiot and told him to grow up before he can rejoin the board again.

I will probably move to have a more definitive rule on this due to some people's perverse comments.

we wither will allow for celebs of all ages to be posted and ban all those who make distasteful comments or we shall just keep it to 16 years old and older celeb only.

Yes, celebs should not be banned, instead all those perverts who make disgraceful comments on younger celebs or try to start a controversy should be banned .

 

I'd say make 16 the minimum limit. That way the board itself stays as safe as possible. We don't want to attract people who are interested in looking at 13 and 14 year old kids in that manner. Dakota Fanning will be a woman one day but right now she's still jsut a wee girl.

 

I see no reason to post pics of celebs under 16 either , there is nothing "sexy" about them and it just encourages freakish comments ...

I agree with either a 16 or even an 18 age limit but then it would have to be about every celeb there shouldn't be any picking and choosing. As it is now Dakota Fanning(14) gets deleted yet there are plenty of Miley Cyrus(15), Miranda Cosgrove(15), and others that are allowed.

Taylor Momsen, who is 15, was tarted up like a total slut for the Fashion Rocks TV show (the entertainment biz has no scruples) and pics of that event were posted in celebs, and there were a number of comments (including by yours truly) that implied lude and lascivious ideas, etc. I have to wonder what's acceptable speech and what's not and who decides.

Personally, I'm pretty thick skinned and have come to expect the least from humanity from years of observation and experience, so I couldn't care less what people say in all but the most egregious of cases. But that's just me.

That said, maybe an age limit would be more appropriate than wrestling with the issue of what can or cannot be said in a reply to a thread.

 

I hardly ever go into threads with underage girls but when I do I'm actually annoyed by all the "she's to young" comments and not the "she's hot" or "Hell-bus" type comments. If you know the celebs are young and you don't like it then just stay out of the thread. Mentioning their age and saying that they are too young does absolutely nothing but start arguments.

 

True, but then what if you don't know their age? People seldom included the age of the subject in a thread title. Should that be a prerequisite for posting underage subjects?

I did not know that.

I say a blanket no-no on girls till they are 16. If people really want to ogle at an underage girl i'm sure they won't be hampered by this rule and i am sure the mighty phun won't suffer either.

 

Lavigne is 24 so I'm OK.

I am still not comfortable with the comments by some of the pervs on here even if the model is 16 or 17.

maybe 16 and older and ban all perverted comments until they are 18. i dunno. :-?

 

I suppose its because 16 is legal here that I'm OK with that age.

 

it's lower where i live but i wont go there. i think it should be 16 or 18. it is for most other things. ie cigarettes and boozing.
