On the other hand, I don't have a horse in that race, because up until about two minutes ago, I had no idea of the topic, the thread discussion, or the opposing viewpoints on gratuity.

I have not, nor will not, offer my insight to tipping because I don't understand it. Some people are subjective on the topic, being that they had to work for their tips, but all that needs to be said about the topic was probably already discussed, and perhaps surmised concisely by a lad that works in some kind of factory, but what do I know, I am an objective observer.
