yeah but it is still better than pure evil. tell me if you were given the option for a third bush term or any other candidate no matter how bad you would vote for bush.

 

OK. I've been trying to stay out of talking politics.

azz, I admire you for standing up at the local level and asking your city to help you. It starts at the local level. It's so sad you're republican, though.

well don't be sad until you understand why i am a republican first.

I believe in the old republican policy on economics and fiscal policy. The money belongs to the people, not for the government to spend on bullshit social programs. I am socially moderate but fiscally conservative. Hence i am a registered republican. But that doesn't mean i follow everything they say i should believe in.

 

i see it more as "how much more" can i possibly lose. Not am i going to lose cause that i already know.

 

I voted for a libertarian candidate. They're basically fiscally conservative, but constitionally liberal. They believe in a small federal government that doesn't spend alot of time snooping into people's private lives and just go about the business of defending the country from outsiders and make sure the highways get repaved while the individual states decide how to manage themselves, based on how the voters of that state feel about issues closer to home.

The Republicans used to be the Democrats and vice versa. They pretty much switched political sides in the 60's. The Reps are always so fond of saying that they are the party of Lincoln, but they seem to forget that Lincoln was a trial lawyer, and a liberal. No conservative of that era would have fought for abolition. Not one that I ever heard of at any rate.

 

just because im not voting though doesnt mean im oblivious, i know whats going on so when i do vote it will be a well informed vote

 

McCain is going to win this one. There's a chance his VP will have to take over because of McCain's age. :roll:

That was hands down the most disappointing day of my life. My heart literally sank into my shoes when I saw the results on election night. My buddy and I couldn't drink enough booze to cheer us up.

At least you know where Satan stands, and if he winds up fucking you, at least you could say with certainty that you expected it.
