    Today was an awesome day.

    People always post when something goes wrong.

    Today, everyone I met was good and nice to me. The retail people at the restaurants did their jobs admirably. My co-workers came to me with reasonable requests, and were satisfied by straiightforward answers. I spent the early evening with my girlfriend's parents, who I just met this weekend (they're in from Australia). They were totally cool.

    Later on, I went to the bar. The bartenders brought me my drinks in a timely fashion, comped me a couple, and the other patrons had interesting conversations and were generally cool. I got home, my roommate was awake, and we had a good fun conversation. And now I'm ready to crash out.

    I didn't win the lottery, nobody was an incredible Mother Teresa, but basically, as I said, today was a good day.

    I posted that message mainly because I think it's actually normal.

    Life is good. There's a ton of little shit that I bitch about every day, but on the whole it's pretty fucking good. Once in a while, it's worth ignoring all the little shitty stuff going on around us and realizing that 95% of the people we interact with are decent normal people just trying to be nice and do their jobs, be good friends, etc.
