    As far as I'm concerned it's a shiat holiday, (but I'll take the day off) that originated back during our "Industrial Revolution". It was brought about by the labor unions to give the "working man" a day off/recognition, and it's the first weekend of September. Leave it to the unions to turn 1 day off into a long weekend. :p:p

    We just created a day for that. But i can't remember it's date. Not because i don't care. It's just that November 11th and Rememberance Sunday have been ingrained since birth as the dates for remembering the fallen.

    It'll take a couple of years for the new date to have the same national resonance.
